Giddy Kitty brings its Purrsuits cat toys to Canadian retailers through Natural Pet Distributors

US cat enrichment brand Giddy Kitty has signed Ontario-based Natural Pet Distributors to supply its Purrsuits treat-toy system to pet retailers in Canada.

Giddy Kitty, the US cat enrichment brand behind the Purrsuits treat-toy system, is now available to Canadian pet retailers through Natural Pet Distributors, a distributor based in Stoney Creek, Ontario. The company announced the partnership on November 3, 2026 and called it an important step in its North American growth. If you run an independent pet store in Canada, it means you can order the range through a Canadian distributor rather than buying direct from the US.

What Giddy Kitty sells

Purrsuits pairs interactive cat toys with the brand’s own Purrsuits Cat Treats, which are designed to work across the whole toy line. The idea, in the company’s words, is that “no hunt is complete without the treat”: the cat chases the toy and gets an edible reward at the end of the play session. The Giddy Kitty range includes wand toys, a treat-dispensing ball, springy flower toys, plush mice and play packs that bundle a toy, its fittings and a pouch of treats. The salmon treats come in 3 oz (85 g) pouches.

The brand was founded by Carrie Van Wert, who previously built and sold Kitty Sift, another cat products company. Giddy Kitty says it has seen growing US retail distribution and e-commerce sales before this move into Canada.

Why it matters to retailers

The pitch to stores is about the basket, not just a single toy. Because the toys and the treats are sold as one system, Giddy Kitty says retailers can merchandise them together, build multi-product sales and get repeat visits when customers come back for more treats. That is a fairly common approach with consumable add-ons, and it may suit stores that already have a cat enrichment section.

The company also lists the support it gives retail and distribution partners:

  • a wholesale portal for ordering
  • product education and how-to-play videos
  • QR-code tutorials on the products
  • merchandising tools
  • The Giddy Guarantee, its own product promise

“Natural Pet Distributors shares our commitment to quality products and independent pet retail, and we’re excited to introduce Canadian retailers and cat parents to the Purrsuits ecosystem,” said Carrie Van Wert, founder and CEO of Giddy Kitty.

Who Natural Pet Distributors is

Natural Pet Distributors was founded in August 2006 by Alexandra Wilcox, according to its own website. It focuses on products that are locally sourced and owned, environmentally friendly and socially responsible, and it already carries brands such as Applaws, Benny Bully’s, Augie Bones, West Paw and Badlands Ranch. Retailers order through a login on its site.

“Giddy Kitty offers something truly unique by combining toys and treats into one engaging experience, while giving retailers an exciting way to differentiate their assortment, connect with customers, and encourage repeat purchases,” said Jason Trickett, CEO of Natural Pet Distributors.

What happens next

Giddy Kitty says it is still looking for regional and national distribution partners in other markets. Retailers and distributors outside Canada can apply or order through its wholesale login page.

You can find Natural Pet Distributors on our Natural Pet Distributors listing, along with other pet trade suppliers in Canada such as CPC Pets and Burgham Sales. If you’re sourcing for a cat section, you can also compare pet wholesalers and distributors, cat food wholesalers and pet accessories suppliers. Canadian buyers can meet suppliers at the Pets Canada Industry Show in Toronto.
