Lucky Reptile is the own brand of Import Export Peter Hoch GmbH in Waldkirch, Germany. The business began importing reptiles in the 1970s, and wholesale soon became its main activity, to the point where its retail shop was wound down and closed. In 1996 terrarium accessories became a second line, and it was among the first wholesalers of the Zoo Med range.
The Lucky Reptile brand was launched after the founder's children took over in 1999 and now covers terrariums, lighting, heating, misting and humidity equipment, control technology, starter kits and reptile food and supplements. The company carries more than 3,000 items, including Zoo Med, Arcadia, Herpetal, Nekton and NTV, employs more than 50 people and supplies animals and accessories worldwide.
