Ferplast

Ferplast says it makes about 4,000 pet products in its own plants in Italy, Ukraine and Slovakia and sells them in 85 export countries through 12 commercial branches and a network of national distributors.

What resellers get

If you run a pet shop or distribution business, Ferplast gives you a single manufacturer for feeding, housing, travel, aquarium and small animal lines rather than several import sources. Its reseller area links to a B2B web shop with its own log in, a distributor list by country, and downloadable trade catalogues: a 2026 novelties catalogue and single-unit offer, Cats and Dogs 2024 to 2025, Small Animals and Birds 2024 to 2025, Naturé, 100% Snack, Veggie Bites, Sustainability and spare parts, plus a Hydor by Ferplast aquarium catalogue. The company says it follows every step from design to finished item and holds 107 international patents.

Bowls, feeders and dispensers

Feeding is one of its broadest dog and cat ranges. Examples in the current catalogue include:

• Supernova stainless steel bowls with a raised rim to keep insects out
• Mira painted metal bowls with anti-slip rubber pads and handles
• a silicone slow feeding bowl with anti-gulping grooves, 19 x 19 cm
• Duo Feed and Desco Wood double feeders holding stainless steel bowls
• dry food dispensers such as Zenith, with a transparent tank

On its EU consumer shop the Supernova and Mira bowls are priced from €7.20 each, which gives you a guide to the retail level before you ask for trade terms.

Other ranges

Beyond feeding, Ferplast lists dog and cat beds, carriers, pens and flaps, litter trays and toilet homes, scratching posts, leads and collars, grooming tools, rodent cages, bird cages, hen houses, aquariums with stands and equipment, turtle tanks and terrariums. Its sustainability catalogue covers 229 products, including FSC certified wooden items for small animals and birds.

Company background

The company was founded in 1966 in Costo di Arzignano near Vicenza, making plastic-coated wire bird cages. It began exporting and opening European branches in the 1980s, opened its Ukrainian plant in 2000 and its Slovak plant in 2005, and moved into aquariums in 2004. Headquarters are at Castelgomberto, and the business is still family run, led by Nicola Vaccari since 2008. Branches include Ferplast U.K. in Kidderminster and Ferplast South America in Caxias do Sul, Brazil; distributors include Pet Pacific in Australia and Nature Pet Centres in Canada.

Comparable suppliers

Ferplast is one of the larger makers in our bowls, feeding and travel section and the wider pet accessories directory, and it also fits aquariums and equipment and hutches, cages and runs. TRIXIE in Germany offers about 6,000 accessory lines, Ancol has made collars, leads and accessories in Walsall since 1971, and Pet Planet Group distributes smart feeders and water fountains in Melbourne.
