RACS lists its standard plastisol-coated cage floors from $120 in its online shop, and says most standard sizes are in stock and ship immediately, with custom floors made up to 10 feet long.
What a kennel or clinic gains
The point of a raised floor is that waste falls through the openings, so you can hose or pressure wash a run without moving the dog. RACS says each hole in its mesh is tapered like a funnel so feces clear easily, while the openings stay small enough for the smallest paw. Because every floor is fully coated in plastisol after welding, there is no bare steel to rust, and the company says the coating stays at room temperature, so animals lie warm and dry rather than on cold concrete. Its run covers are rated to carry two technicians and the animal they are treating, and the floors can go through an autoclave. RACS also says all its animal flooring now carries antimicrobial protection against E. coli and Salmonella.
