Frontier Distributing is a pet food and supply distributor based in Oxford, Michigan. It was founded in 1986 as a Purina Service Center to handle the Pro Plan range for pet specialty stores, and now focuses on distributing independent brands to neighbourhood pet shops in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
New retailers apply through an online inquiry form. The company does not serve home-based businesses and asks whether the premises are zoned for commercial retail. Registered retailers order through an online webstore, with deliveries made by Frontier’s own fleet on a regular schedule, from small drops to full truckloads, and warehouse pickup available. Brand owners can also apply to be carried as vendors.
